In this innovative show, Homer’s timeless tale of adventure is brought to life with playful humor and suspense. Using a motley assortment of beach toys to illustrate the story of Odysseus's ten-year epic journey from Troy to Ithaca, Ritchie takes us to the land of the Lotus Eaters, the Cyclops, the island of Circe, and the land of the Dead. We learn all about the alluring Sirens, Scylla the six-headed monster and Charybdis the whirlpool, Odysseus' captivity on the island of Calypso, and the hero's eventual return to his homeland — all while enjoying ourselves thoroughly and taking part in the show.

Lots of audience participation is involved as viewers help create many special effects.  Adult audience members have commented that it brought back vivid memories of their first encounter with The Odyssey, and younger viewers come away with greater enthusiasm and openness towards reading this masterpiece of literature.
